Our team is led by Mr. Shabtay E. Vogel and Mr. Jean Claude Muller. Mr. Vogel is the founder of Dor Diamonds (S.E. Vogel) Ltd. and a member of the Trade and Promotion Committee of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB). Shabtay E. Dor Diamonds was named after their daughter Danielle and his son Ory, the latter who joined the company in 2002.
Vogel was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1951, and is a graduate of the acclaimed Hebrew Reali School in Haifa. In 1976, he joined the diamond trade and throughout the years accumulated extensive experience in the diamond business, from manufacturing to wholesaling. He owns a diamond factory located in the heart of Ramat Gan's diamond centre.
Simultaneously with joining the diamond business, he became a member of "Etgar, The New Israel Club for Commerce in Diamonds." Vogel was elected to the board of directors of Etgar in 1988, and became president in 1995, a position he continues to hold to this day.
Vogel is a member of the Trade and Promotion Committee of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and in Israel was active in the establishment of the Kimberly Process, which was established to curb trade in conflict diamonds.
Mr. Jean-Claude Muller is the owner and manager of S. Muller & Sons, a prestigious manufacture known for its Hearts & Arrows diamonds. S. Muller & Sons was founded by his father Mr. Shulim Muller 60 years ago. The company has been and continues to be a major leader in the industry of finely made diamonds. They manufacture and supply many of the top jewelers worldwide. S. Muller & Sons owns and operates two factories in Antwerp where most of their diamonds are polished. Jean Claude. Muller was born in Antwerp Belgium in 1954 and “grew up” in the diamond business. He joined the family business 30 years ago and has since directed the company to many great achievements.
Our staff also consist of Mr. Avi Rowe and Mr. Ory Vogel who are both second generation in the diamond business. Avi Rowe was born in Geneva Switzerland in 1976 and grew up in Rochester N.Y. He moved to Israel after finishing high school. After receiving his Rabbinical Ordination in Israel he went on to receive an L.L.B. from Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He joined his father in law, Mr. Jean Claude Muller, in the business in 2002 and opened up the Israel branch, S.M.S. Diamonds Ltd. in 2006 .
Ory Vogel has an B.A. Finance and mangemnet from Tel Aviv University and has participated in the foundation of the first Israeli CDO, Among his iniative he has co-founded the largest loose diamond search engine Gemisimo. Ory has been a part of Dor Diamonds for the past 5 years and has co-founded the Israeli innovation forum to promote innovative initiative.
